Check YES for Juliet, because We The Kings is one of the bigger name bands on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.  So how were they to shoot exactly?  Honestly, kind of meh…

Notes:

Maybe I get spoiled easily by the incredibly active metalcore bands are Warped Tour, but We the Kings, until halfway through their 2nd song at least, we’re kind of boring to shoot.  They didn’t really kick off with a bang, and were rather slow at the start.  By the third song, they were moving around a good bit, but I had really lost interest.

The Kia Soul stage was built super high this day, which made trying to move around to prevent the dreaded mic mouth all over front man/vocalist Travis Clark incredibly difficult.  For the most part, I was shooting straight up the band’s noses, which felt very awkward.  The one (minor) positive to this, is the barrier and the stage are far apart, and since there was almost no crowd surfing, I was safe to move to have my back against the barrier if I wanted.
