With a massive projector screen set up behind them, Bring Me the Horizon is blowing minds during the Parks & Devastation tour, and I of course couldn’t miss the chance to shoot them once again…

Notes on shooting Bring Me The Horizon:

While the giant projector is cool and certainly great for the eye, it was a pain in the ass to try and get sharp shots of Oli and company.  Not only do the dudes fly around the stage, but when the lighting is really sporadic, trying to lock focus can be quite a pain.

Because the the lack of light and smallish photo pit (which was filled with a bunch of tubes to shoot out smoke, fog, and for A Day to Remember – confetti) mixed with a rowdy crowd, I pretty much was locked stage right while shooting.  I could have made a dive to move around, but I can gurantee it would have gotten the security guards pissed at me, and that was not a risk I wanted to take when I still had ADTR to shoot.

Equipment:

Nikon D3 w/ 24-70 2.8
Nikon D600 w/ 80-200 2.8
