General Photography – Halloween Photo Shoot

 (Chris Romano)

With the weather in Nw York getting cold out again, I felt like it was finally time to get a shoot going on a backdrop.  With a Halloween idea brewing in our minds, I had Rebecca and Ashley play a bit of dress up and take some witchy looking photos…

Notes on the Halloween Photo Shoot:

With it being a bit colder out, I wanted to set something up in a bit more of a studio setting.  With the help of make-up artist Felicia (the one giving the bunny ears to Ashley and Rebecca in the photo above) I was able to put together a shoot with a halloween theme to it.

When I first came up with the concept, I had the witches with a green brew idea in my head.  Thanks to putting a simple speedlight in a cauldron that Rebecca picked up, I made that idea a reality.  I considered using a fog machine for the smoke effect as well, but in the end decided that it would be  easier to just add smoke in post – which I did.

This was another case of where I had no clear way of editing, and kind of just played around with whatever felt like it worked.
